Tag Questions - Simple Past / Past Continuous

What are Tag Questions?

In English tag questions, the auxiliary or "be" verb from the main sentence is used in the tag, but with the polarity (positive or negative) reversed.

For the simple past: The tag uses "did" or "was/were" (for "be" verbs).

For the past continuous: The tag uses "was/were".

Remember: Positive sentences → negative question tags / Negative sentences → positive question tags
